Assembly Technician (on-site)
About the role
Do you get excited about technology? Do you enjoy putting things together and testing them? Are you precise and detail-oriented in your work? Do you see a challenge in assembling and testing our innovative hardware? If you are meticulous and skilled in light mechanical work, then this part-time job is perfect for you.
What will you be doing?
Our hardware arrives as semi-finished products. You will assemble these into ready-off-the-shelf products, such as gateways and sensors. This involves light mechanical work, such as modifying the casing so that all required ports can be mounted watertight during assembly.
After assembly, you will install the firmware and test the hardware to ensure it meets the requirements. Finally, you will document all activities. It is important to be attentive to step-by-step procedures and manuals.
Another core part of this job is to investigate any hardware that’s sent back for research and/or repair. You will investigate the possible causes, perform a root-cause analysis, and carry out the required steps to get the hardware repaired.
You will also monitor stock levels of components and ensure that all necessary parts are ordered in time.
